White Carnation 2009

White Carnation 2009 was a total success! This year, it was held at the beautiful Mobile Carnival Museum. A special thanks goes out to Kate Cooper (Social Chair) and Katie Ellisor (Co-Chair) for a great job on the entire event! The Chi Omega sisters looked beautiful in their dresses and with their handsome dates! This week we also participated in our second Pet Adoption Fair with the Animal Rescue Foundation and we participated in AOPi's Softball Tournament.
Over the past week, the chapter room has been filled with the sounds of stepping as our ladies have been practicing for the Kappa Alpha Psi Step Show that we will participate in on Wednesday. The brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi have been teaching the step while our girls are practicing hard. It is coming along so well! The outfits for the dance are super cute and pictures will be posted after the show on Wednesday.
Look for pictures soon of White Carnation and the Step Show!!

Sisters, family, and friends,

I am glad you decided to check out the Beta Theta blog! Our chapter has so much to be proud of, and this is a great way to spread the word of what's been going on. For starters, last night was the annual Greek Awards Banquet, and yes, this year makes fourteen. Our chapter has officially won the Dean's Cup for fourteen years in a row! We won the scholarship, campus involvement, and intramural awards for Panhellenic. Not to mention, three of our members were tapped into Order of Omega; Ashley Pitman was named New Member of the Year; Sarah Syklawer was awarded Panhellenic Greek Woman of the Year; and Faith Perdue was chosen as Panhellenic President of the Year. This was a great year for Chi Omega, and seeing the results of our hard work throughout the year last night made me extremely proud to be a part of this sisterhood. I hope you all will keep checking up for any updates, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Eleusinian.
Chi O love,
Sarah Syklawer
